Public finance India is the portal of Macromoney Research Initiatives Private Limited. Macromoney Research's objective is to provide research and analysis of the financial health of the state governments and municipal bodies in India.
Macromoney Research's management team is headed by K. Subalakshmi and Prasad Mangipudi.
K. Subalakshmi is a professional with over twenty years of experience in financial analysis. Subalakshmi spent the bulk of her career with CRISIL, India's leading rating agency and a Standard and Poor's company. She held various responsibilities in CRISIL including the role of Head-Public Finance Ratings. After leaving CRISIL in 2004, she worked as Director of financial management operations in OfficeTiger, an RR Donnelley company. She is a member of the Chartered Accountants of India and Cost and Works Accountants of India.
Prasad Mangipudi is a marketing professional and a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad. In a marketing career spanning 24 years, he has worked with organisations like Lintas, Sterling Holiday Resorts, Bates Gulf, Lifecell, Aurobindo Pharma and Mylan Labs.
Since its inception in June 2010, Public Finance India has become a preferred source of research information for the public finance market. Public Finance India's users are from India's finest research and academic institutions, consultancy firms, infrastructure companies, and Government bodies.

Mr. Raghu Tatta has over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry. He was a Global Managing Director at RR Donnelley, Global Managing Director at the Pinnacle Alliance JP Morgan, the Chief Auditor at Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation and the Controller of International Operations and Mutual Funds at Bankers Trust. He has also served at Chase Manhattan Bank and Price Waterhouse.
After his retirement from RR Donnelley in 2011, Mr. Tatta is a consultant to many international organisations.
Mr. Tatta has a BA in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai and an MBA in Finance from Bowling Green Ohio State University. He is a member of AIBA, a certified chartered accountant from India and a certified financial services auditor in the US.
Professor Rajesh Chakrabarti is the Executive Director of Bharti Institute of Public Policy and a Clinical Associate Professor at the Indian School of Business. He has previously taught at Georgia Tech, USA, and University of Alberta, Canada and has held several visiting positions. He has published in international research journals in Finance, Economics and International Business; has authored or edited six books and several book chapters; and is a columnist for Financial Express. He is an alumnus of Presidency College Kolkata, and IIM Ahmedabad and earned his PhD in Management from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Mr. Harsh Shrivastava understands business, governments, non-profits, media, and politics and how to improve the effectiveness of their intersection, to solve complex policy challenges in a federal democracy. He was last the Chief Operations Officer of the Centre for Civil Society, India's top rated think-tank. Harsh was previously in India's Planning Commission, where he helped managed the process of making India's 12th Plan. He headed marketing and business development for Feedback Infrastructure, India's largest infrastructure services company; and was the first director for agribusiness for the Confederation of Indian Industry.
Harsh is on the board of the Meghalaya Institute of Governance and has been an Emerging Leaders Fellow at the Australia India Institute. He has an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad.
Sujatha Srikumar is an infrastructure finance expert with over 25 years of experience in project development, structuring, credit risk evaluation and financing of infrastructure projects; fund raising for infrastructure projects from domestic and international debt / capital markets as well as entities from multilateral / bilateral agencies. She has worked in leading institutions like CRISIL and IL&FS on transactions in India, US and Hong Kong and is presently associated as an International Consultant with World Bank, IFC, ADB, UNCDF and KfW in the areas of infrastructure financing and capital market development across assignments in India, Philippines and Bangladesh. She has a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
